My name is Anthony and I have been in the industry for 30 years. I initially did a seven month intensive private hairdressing course in London’s West End. My first job was working as a stylist at Carpenters in Tonbridge and Maidstone Hospital where I managed their small salon. From there I went onto Toni & Guy Maidstone, working my way up to Style Director and part of management.
I love doing gents’ hair such as fades and disconnected hairstyles, as well as ladies’ precision cuts – I love cutting a sharp bob. I can do a trim with my eyes closed so I really enjoy having to concentrate and spend time on a haircut.
I’m quite a nosy person so love getting to know about my clients’ lives, and believe me when I say they tell me everything! I’m going to write a book one day! My clients inspire me – they want a great haircut so that’s what I endeavour to give them.
It’s fair to say I’d be happy to get through life and look back without any regrets… so far so good.
Ironically for a hairdresser, I’ve been bald since I was 22, so most people would be surprised to know that I used to be as ginger as Ed Sheeran!
