Meet The Team

Hi, I’m Caroline and I am the owner here at Q. My hairdressing journey started over 20 years ago at college before I moved to Toni and Guy to finish my training while working as an apprentice in the salon. I worked there for 13 years before moving to Q when it opened its doors in 2011. I then took over ownership in 2017 and have been running the salon ever since.

I have recently completed training to become a Session Stylist with Kevin Murphy, along with training courses with Not Another Salon, the latest being a Freehand Balayage course - which is a favourite colouring technique of mine.

I am very lucky as we have such a fun and talented team working in the salon, it makes my job easy! You will still see me active in the salon as I run a very busy column of clients. I love all aspects of hairdressing, and would hate to be a boss who just does paperwork! 

Hey I’m Abi. I worked at Toni and Guy for 10 years as a colour specialist. I’ve worked backstage at Leeds Castle Wedding Fayre, creating bridal hairstyles and have also worked backstage at London Fashion Week for Toni and Guy.

My latest conquest was to become a Session Stylist with Kevin Murphy which taught all different catwalk trends and even had to put on my own catwalk show!

In the salon I love doing colours and cuts, but my forté is bright blondes, balayage and scalp bleaches with beautiful toners. I look forward to seeing all of my amazing clientele and seeing so many new faces.

My name is Anthony and I have been in the industry for 30 years.  I initially did a seven month intensive private hairdressing course in London's West End. My first job was working as a stylist at Carpenters in Tonbridge and Maidstone Hospital where I managed their small salon. From there I went onto Toni & Guy Maidstone, working my way up to Style Director and part of management.

I love doing gents' hair such as fades and disconnected hairstyles, as well as ladies' precision cuts - I love cutting a sharp bob. I can do a trim with my eyes closed so I really enjoy having to concentrate and spend time on a haircut.

I'm quite a nosy person so love getting to know about my clients' lives, and believe me when I say they tell me everything! I'm going to write a book one day!  My clients inspire me - they want a great haircut so that's what I endeavour to give them.

It's fair to say I'd be happy to get through life and look back without any regrets... so far so good.

Ironically for a hairdresser, I've been bald since I was 22, so most people would be surprised to know that I used to be as ginger as Ed Sheeran!

Hi, I'm Jo. I've been here at Q for two and a half years and love it! We have a fantastic team and I love working with Kevin Murphy products.

I've been hairdressing for 23 years, starting at Toni and Guy. I do all aspects of hairdressing but specialise in colouring, having earned a Colour Specialist degree.

I love everything from balayage and fashion colours to bleaching and highlighting. Feel free to pop in for a chat if u fancy a change!

Hello! I am Louise and I have 13 years' experience as a hairdresser, training at college and completing my professional qualifications at Saks. I have worked as part of the team at Q Hairdressing since 2013.

I am a fully qualified colour technician and I also apply Raccoon hair extensions for my clients. I enjoy both cutting and colouring hair and I love working with Kevin Murphy products.

I only work one day a week because I am also a full time mum, but I enjoy every minute of my time in the salon.

Hi my name is Jo Steele and I work in front of house here at Q. I have worked here for three years now and have been hairdressing for 18 years.

I love learning and enjoy keeping up to date with the latest trends and hairdressing techniques whilst working with such a wonderful and hardworking team! 

I also love meeting all of our clients, new and existing, and look forward to greeting you on your next visit to Q!

Hello!  My name is Karen and I work front of house at Q Hairdressing.  I've been at Q for seven years, previously working as a hairdresser in a salon before setting up a mobile hairdressing business when I had my first child.

I love talking to and meeting people, looking after fellow staff, and being in the environment I trained in.    I am hardworking, caring, friendly and love working with the team at Q.
